Based in Hoedspruit but working across lodges and private reserves throughout Southern Africa, I'll go where your next adventure is taking you...
from the Greater Kruger area to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and beyond. Getting started is simple: reach out with your dates and destination, and I'll send through my packages and pricing guide within 48 hours.

A focused session built around one key part of your day — a morning game drive, a sundowner, an in-camp afternoon, a magical proposal… Long enough to capture the real moments, while leaving room for you to enjoy the rest of your experience privately.
A full safari day alongside you, from the morning drive through to the last of the afternoon light. This gives me enough time to find the quieter moments as well as the obvious ones — and the gallery tells a much fuller story because of it.
Multi-day coverage of your entire stay. I arrive when you do and I’m there through the whole experience — from the first drive, to dining & activities, and the last goodbye. This is my most complete offering and my favourite way to work.

I photograph these the same way I photograph everything else: I follow the day as it unfolds, stay out of the way of the moments that matter, and make sure the whole story gets told — from the getting-ready details through to the last dance around the fire.

For the couple who wants to keep it small, simple and completely their own. I’ll be there for the getting-ready moments, the ceremony, some time in the bush together afterwards, and the friends and family who made the trip with you.
A full wedding day, documented from beginning to end. I start with the getting-ready details and stay through the ceremony, the portraits, the family moments, the first dance and everything that follows.
For couples who want the full experience; the wedding and the safari, woven together. Over two days I cover the ceremony and all the wedding moments alongside the safari experiences that make this kind of celebration so extraordinary.

Hi, I’m Shara.
I’ve lived just outside the Kruger National Park for over 20 years, which still feels like an extraordinary privilege to say out loud.
I’m a mom, a bush lover, and someone who finds it genuinely difficult to have a bad day when there’s an elephant in the garden. I take my work seriously but I don’t take myself too seriously — and if you’ve spent any time with me on a safari you’ll know that I laugh easily and talk too much around the campfire.
What keeps me doing this after all these years is simple: I get to be in one of the most beautiful places on earth, with people who are usually having one of the best experiences of their lives.
That never gets old.
