Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions are here to keep everything clear, easy, and enjoyable for both of us.

Booking & Payment

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
• The remaining 50% is due two weeks before the shoot or event date.
• Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.
• Rescheduling may be accommodated subject to availability and must be requested in writing.
• If the Photographer is unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond their control, all payments made will be refunded. This will be the full extent of liability.

Style & Creative Approach

• The Photographer's work has a distinct style and editing approach.
• By booking, you confirm that you have viewed the Photographer's portfolio and are happy with the overall look and feel of the work.
• Final image selection and editing are at the Photographer's discretion to maintain a consistent style.

Image Delivery

• RAW / unedited images are not provided.
• Final edited images will be delivered in high-resolution digital format.
• The usual delivery timeframe is 2–4 weeks from the shoot date, unless otherwise agreed.

Outdoor Shoots & Weather

• As most shoots take place outdoors, weather and natural light conditions are outside the Photographer's control.
• Every effort will be made to work creatively with the conditions on the day.
• If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, rescheduling may be discussed where possible.
• Weather conditions do not qualify for refunds.

Travel Fees

• There are two location rates:
  • Rate 1: Photographic work within 50 km of Hoedspruit Town.
  • Rate 2: Photographic work beyond 50 km of Hoedspruit Town.
• Both rates include travel costs and gate/conservation fees.
• Certain locations may require overnight accommodation. Where applicable, accommodation costs will be for the Client's account and discussed prior to booking confirmation.

Copyright & Usage

• The Photographer retains copyright of all images under South African copyright law.
• Clients are granted a personal-use licence to download, print, and share the images.
• Images may not be altered, sold, or used commercially without written permission.

Photographer Usage

• The Photographer may use selected images for portfolio, website, and social media.
• Requests for non-sharing must be made in writing prior to the shoot.

Liability & Force Majeure

• The Photographer cannot be held responsible for factors beyond their control, including venue restrictions, guest interference, extreme weather, or technical failure.
• In the unlikely event of total image loss, liability is limited to a refund of payments received.
• Neither party will be held liable for events beyond reasonable control (including acts of God, natural disasters, or government restrictions).

Acceptance

• Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

This summary is intended to be clear, friendly, and fair, while protecting both the Client and the Photographer.
